C) Product Campaigns: Product Groups, Templates & Retargeting Lists

Product campaigns use your product feed to automatically show products in the Dynamic template.

Targeting is based on Display options and more.

There are two options:

  1. Dynamic Retargeting (DRTG) – When adding a branch with an existing XML feed to the Sklik account, you will have an option to work with new RTG dynamic lists.
    1. Then you can target users that visited categories or products at your website with automatically generated dynamic template. More here.
  2. Dynamic Banner – Combine this advanced dynamic template with any targeting type stated in the previous section (Display campaigns).
    1. In the case of DB you have to mandatory select a product group.

1. (If choosing DRTG) Set a Retargeting List

If you create a Dynamic Retargeting campaign, select from:

  • DRTG – Návštěvníci produktů – Branch XY (users that have been to the products URLs)
  • DRTG – Návštěvníci kategorií – Branch XY (users that have been to the categories URLs + you have to modifythe RTG code.

This allows Sklik to show exact products users previously viewed or from the category that it has visited.

DRTG works even without selecting any product group or custom template.

2. Choose Product Groups

Product groups determine which products from your feed are eligible for advertising.

Example structure:

  • All products on stock
  • Men’s running shoes
  • Smartphones
  • Home appliances

Product groups are based on different information from feed, e.g.:

  • Categories
  • Brands
  • Price ranges
  • Custom labels
  • and more

3. Choose the Product Ads Template

Templates define how your product ad looks.

You can choose:

  • Name of the template (for differentiation)
  • Custom text description
  • Template style (can be edited further)
    • Colour of Main background and Background for products
    • Text colours
    • Text font

When choosing the Dynamic Banner, always think about the combination of targeting and product group. Show users that interested in SUVs (targeting Interests) only SUVs from your feed and so on. Furthermore, use all advanced elements that DB offers.
